Ranchi: Bollywood star and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty’s purse was stolen during election campaign in Jharkhand. According to information, Mithun Chakraborty went to the election rally of BJP candidate Aparna Sen Gupta in Nirasa assembly constituency. While a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood star, Mithun became a target of pickpockets and had his wallet stolen during the rally.
An appeal to return the purse from the stage
A video of a BJP rally is going viral on social media. In this, a party member can be heard addressing the gathering and asking those present on the platform to return Mithun Chakraborty’s wallet. A mic is being asked from the stage that anyone in the crowd who took Mithun Da’s purse should return it. This is not the culture of Jharkhand.
A public meeting was being held in Kalia Sol
According to reports, Mithun had gone to address a rally in Kalia Shaul in support of BJP candidate Aparna Sen Gupta in Nirsa assembly constituency of Dhanbad district on Tuesday. BJP’s star campaigner Mithun Chakraborty, who had come to campaign in the Nirsa assembly constituency, was pickpocketed by someone in the crowd.
Congress took a crack at it
Along with this, the Congress has taken a stand regarding the theft of Mithun’s purse. Bihar Congress has shared a video from its X handle. The tweet reads, ‘Disco dancer Mithun Chakraborty’s wallet stolen from BJP stage’. At the same time, no official statement has yet come out from the BJP regarding this. Along with this, there is no information that any FIR has been registered.
Election will be held in two phases
Let us tell you that assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20 in Jharkhand. While the campaigning for the first phase of elections is over, the campaigning for the second phase is in full swing. Counting of votes in Jharkhand will take place on November 23.
