Fans of the Indian cricket team have long been waiting for the return to the field of fast bowler Mohammad Shami, who has been out of competitive cricket since the ODI World Cup in 2023. Shami was unable to return to the field due to injury, with everyone hoping that he would be fit before the tour of Australia, however with the announcement of the team it became clear that Mohammed Shami is still not fully fit. Now Shami is back on the field after almost a year, playing in the Ranji Trophy match between Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. Shami’s bowling was also a disaster in this match, which is also very good news for Team India.
Shami took 4 wickets
Mohammad Shami bowled 10 overs on the first day of the Ranji Trophy match against Madhya Pradesh but failed to take any wickets. The second day’s play saw the same old style of Shami’s bowling as Madhya Pradesh, who had at one point scored 106 for the loss of 1 wicket, were bundled out for 167 in their first innings. Mohammad Shami bowled a total of 19 overs in which he bowled 4 maiden overs and conceded 54 runs and also took 4 wickets. Out of the four wickets taken by Mohammad Shami, he bowled three players, apart from this, Shami showed the way to the pavilion by getting one caught out by wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha.
May be included in the Test series against Australia
Team India is scheduled to play a five-match Border-Gavaskar Test series against Australia from November 22, for which even though Mohammad Shami has not been selected in the squad, it is expected that he will be a part of the Indian squad for this match. Can be done in the middle of the journey. Team India is scheduled to play the second Test 10 days after the first Test in Perth, which will be played with a pink ball. If Shami returns, it will strengthen the bowling of Team India.
