Pakistan made a plan, a massive military operation will begin against terrorists in Balochistan

Islamabad: Terrorist incidents have increased in recent times in Pakistan. Now, to curb terrorism, Pakistan has decided to launch a massive operation against terrorists in the southwestern province of Balochistan. The Federal Supreme Committee for National Action Planning, which functions under the government, approved a massive military operation on Tuesday, it said in a statement.

Military officers were present in this meeting

The decision to launch the military operation was taken at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and attended by senior civilian and military officials, including Army Chief General Asim Munir. The operation will target major terrorist organizations operating in Balochistan, including Majeed Brigade, Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) and Balochistan Raji Anju-ar-Sanger (BRAS), who are under influence. Pakistan at the behest of outside powers is disrupting economic progress of innocent citizens and foreign nationals.

What happened at the meeting?

The meeting chaired by PM Shahbaz Sharif briefed on the security scenario, terrorism, general law and order situation, efforts to promote religious extremism, illegal organizations and crime-terror nexus, sabotage and measures taken for other important challenges.

A campaign against terrorism is essential

The committee emphasized that political support across party lines and a complete national consensus were vital to revive the national anti-terrorism campaign within the framework of “Azam-e-Istehqam” approach. Also, it is necessary to agree on reviving the National Anti-Terrorism Agency (NACTA). (language)
