Election campaigning in Maharashtra is currently in an interesting phase. A fierce war of words is being witnessed. On Tuesday, Yogi Adityanath responded to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge by holding rallies in Amravati, Akola and Nagpur. Khadge said that if a yogi wants to raise slogans like ‘Bantenge to Katange’, he should take off his saffron robe.
On that Yogi said that saffron is the identity of Sanatan, he is Yogi, speaks the truth, that is why he is reminding Khadge of history. Khadge’s family was burnt by the Nizam’s Razakars in the riots of 1946 as Hindus were divided into castes at that time. Yogi said that Khadge is hiding the tragedy with his family in the name of vote, but he is openly saying that it is necessary to be united, because if we are divided, we will be divided.
Yogi was reacting to Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement, which he made while addressing Congress workers at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on August 17 last year. Khadge told how his house was burnt in the 1946 riots, his mother, sister, brother, uncle were all brutally burnt. Kharge was a child at that time. His father somehow saved him and escaped from the village, and later settled in Gulbarga, Karnataka. But while saying this Khadge does not mention who was behind these riots?
In fact, the Razakars of the then Nizam of Hyderabad were behind these riots of 1946-1947. Yogi grasped this very well. What Yogi said meant that Khadge deliberately did not mention the Nizam’s Razakars because the Congress party was worried about Muslim votes. A BJP leader remarked that Khadge’s family was killed by the Nizam’s jihadist Razakars and called Hindus terrorists. What kind of secularism is this? There is a lot of discussion about this political maneuver in the Maharashtra elections.
Yogi said at the Akola rally that Kharge was unnecessarily upset with him. He is Yogi and for Yogi the country is top but appeasement is top for Congress leaders. That is why Khadge is afraid to tell the truth he has faced. As Khadge continued to attack Yogi for three days, he compared Yogi to terrorists, saying that Yogi wears saffron robes and practices divisive politics, spreading hatred between Hindus and Muslims, so he has no right to wear saffron. Yogi Adityanath settled the account in three days. What Yogi said about Khadge’s family is not wrong because Khadge himself has publicly stated on several occasions that his family was burnt by the Nizam’s Razakars during the Hyderabad riots.
Bhagwan was mentioned in the Maharashtra elections due to Khadge’s statement. Yogi’s formula is sure to be a hit. Sadhus and saints are now standing openly in support of Yogi. On Tuesday, Jagadguru Ramabhadracharya said that what Yogi said was true. Saffron holders have always told the truth to the society and shown the right path, so it would be better not to talk about the saffron issue. Khadge said that it would be better if saffron wearers stay away from politics. Regarding this, Jagadguru Rambhadracharya said that if those who wear saffron do politics, then politics will be good, otherwise there will be an accumulation of criminals. (Rajat Sharma)
