The Indian team will begin the Test series in Perth from November 22 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The first Test match between Sri Lanka and South Africa will be played in Durban from November 27. After this, the second Test match will start from December 5 at St. George’s Park.
Left-arm spinner Lasith Ambuldeniya has been included in Sri Lanka’s squad for the two Test matches in South Africa. He last played a Test match two years ago. Off-spinner Nishan Peiris, who made his Test debut against New Zealand in September, has also been included. Off-spin bowling all-rounder Ramesh Mendis did not get a place in the team. Despite taking 6 wickets in his only Test match this year, Mendis was overlooked.

Hosts South Africa have also announced their squad for this Test series. Temba Bavuma returns to the team as captain.
