In this matter, Prabhat has broken the record of his countryman Dilruan Perera, in which he completed his 100 wickets in 25 Tests. Apart from this, he has now become the joint second bowler in world cricket to achieve this feat in just 17 Tests.

As for Prabhat Jayasuriya, he is currently playing the role of main spinner in Sri Lanka’s Tests, which he reached when he took the wicket of Tony DeGeorge in South Africa’s second innings in the Durban Test match. Successfully completed his 100th Test wicket. Prabhat took just 32 innings to reach this figure. Along with this, he also became the third spinner in the history of Test cricket to take 100 wickets at the fastest pace in as few matches. Earlier, Australia’s Clary Grimmett did this feat in 17 Test matches and after that Pakistan’s spinner Yasir Shah also managed to take his 100 wickets in 17 Test matches. If we look at the record of fastest 100 wicket taker from India, it is in the name of Ravichandran Ashwin who completed his 100 wickets in 18 Test matches.
