Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s younger brother Nara Ramamurthy Naidu has died at the age of 72 after prolonged illness. The death of Ramamurthy Naidu, known for his low-profile and philanthropic nature, has sent shockwaves through his family and supporters. Nara Ramamurthy Naidu will be cremated tomorrow (November 17) at his native village Narvaripalle in Chittoor district.
Died due to heart attack
According to reports, Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, father of actor Nara Rohit and younger brother of CM Chandrababu Naidu, passed away today due to a heart attack. Family members took him to a hospital in Hyderabad, where he breathed his last. He was suffering from a serious illness for a long time.
According to hospital reports, Ramamurthy Naidu was admitted to the hospital on November 14 after cardiac arrest. Despite having a heart and lung transplant, he was suffering from complications like high blood pressure. The hospital said he was put on ventilation due to breathing problems. Despite his best medical efforts, his condition did not improve.
Elected MLA from Chandragiri in 1994
Ramamurthy Naidu served as an MLA from Chandragiri assembly constituency in 1994. However, he left the TDP before the 2002 general elections and eventually joined the Congress Party before returning to the TDP. Due to his ill health, he was away from active politics for a long time. Ramamurthy Naidu has two sons, actors Nara Rohit and Nara Girish. Rohit got engaged to actress Shirisha Laila in October.
