Qureshi said, ‘Jinnah not only admired the self-sacrificing personality of Bhagat Singh and his comrades, but stood up to them with strong will and questioned British law and order and principles.’ He termed the government report on Bhagat Singh as ‘ridiculous and a manipulation of history’ which distorted the Islamic point of view. He said, ‘Bhagat Singh was a revolutionary born on the soil of Pakistan and we cannot allow the history of our country to be destroyed for petty political purposes.’ (language)
