What did the Ministry of External Affairs say?
External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Prime Minister Modi thanked President Lula for successfully hosting the G20 Summit. He said, “The Prime Minister assured India’s full support to Brazil’s initiative on ‘Global Engagement Against Hunger and Poverty’. Discussions focused on exploring opportunities for further cooperation in renewable energy, biofuels, defence, agriculture, healthcare and digital technology.
PM Modi will go to Guyana from Brazil
Prime Minister Modi was given a warm welcome by President Lula at the G20 summit venue on Monday. Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden are among the leaders participating in the Rio de Janeiro summit on November 18-19. From Brazil, PM Modi will go to Guyana on the invitation of President Mohammad Irfan Ali. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in over 50 years.
