US President-elect Donald Trump reportedly “AI Czar“Federal policy and use of artificial intelligence in the White House to coordinate, Axios reported Tuesday, citing sources.
While Tesla CEO Elon Musk will not take on the role, he is expected to significantly influence the future of AI discussions and applications, the report added.
The proposed role, though not confirmed, is seen as part of Trump’s broader push to prioritize emerging technologies. Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump’s newly minted chief, according to Reuters sources Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), will have significant input into the appointment.
“Musk – who owns a leading AI company, xAI – Has publicly sparred with rival CEOs, including OpenAI’s Sam Altman and Google’s Sundar Pichai. Rivals worry that Musk could leverage his Trump ties to favor his companies,” Axios said.
