8 Indian players will play against Australia for the first time, this big mistake can be expensive

India vs Australia 1st Test: Counting days are now left for the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The first match between the two teams will be played from November 22 at the Perth ground. But regular captain Rohit Sharma and young batsman Shubman Gill could not play in the first Test. Rohit has not been to Australia since the birth of his second child. While Gill is out of the first match due to injury. This adds to the crisis for Team India, as both these players have played in Australia before and were well aware of the conditions there. Another major concern of the team management is that the Indian Test team has 8 players who have never played a Test match against Australia before.

3 players are yet to make their Test debut

8 players including Abhimanyu Iswaran, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Nitish Reddy, Akash Deep, Harshit Rana and Ishan Krishna are part of the Indian Test team that toured Australia to play the Test series. But these players have not played a single Test match against Australia in their career so far and these players do not have much experience of playing Test matches. Out of the 8, three players (Abhimanyu Iswaran, Harshit Rana, Nitish Reddy) are yet to make their Test debut. Now the Indian selectors’ move to pick less inexperienced players could backfire against Australia. Now, if these players get a place in the Indian playing eleven, then all of them will play a Test match against Australia for the first time.

Abhimanyu Ishwar hopes to get a chance

Rohit Sharma is not playing in the first Test match. In such a situation, Abhimanyu Iswaran may get a chance to make his Test debut and is a strong contender to open alongside Yashaswi Jaiswal. He has scored mountains of runs in domestic cricket. So far he has scored 7674 runs in 101 Test matches including 27 centuries. On the other hand, Dhruv Jurel, Akash Deep and Harshit Rana are also likely to get a chance in the playing eleven of the first Test.

A career record of 8 players included in the Indian team, who did not play a Test match against AUS.
